Why is Physical Fitness a Personal Matter?

Physical fitness is a personal matter because its all about the individual.  Being physically fit doesn't have anything to do with who is smaller than who, but more so one's ability to carry out daily task without getting tired.  You shouldn't let others influence you negatively.

How do some people neglect their health by choosing not to participate in physical activity?

By choosing not to participate in physical activity people are only making matters worst for themselves.  By participating in physical activity a person will verall feel better as a person.  It cwill affect their mood as well as their appearance.  Also not participating in physical activity can lead to high cholesterol, diabetes, or obesity, all of which can lead to one's death.

What are the primary health risks factors, and which ones may be controlled?

The primary risk factors are factors associated with disease, disability, and premature death.  They consist of inactivity, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, stress and tension, smoking, gender, heridity, and age.  Some risk factors can be controlled where as some cannot.  The first six I mentioned above can all be controlled accordingly if the individual is willing to participate in physical activity.

What benefits are gained by exercising?

By exercising one gains the benefits of a controlled body wieght and an approved attractiveness.  Changes in one's body and their overall attitude will change due to exercise as well.  One will develop the sense of a better body image, improved self control, increased muscular strength, and an increase in their energy level.  An individual will show an increased interest/success in school or at work, cope with stress better, and have a higher life expectancy all from exercising regularly. 

What is the relationship between wellness and personal fitness?

Wellness is defined as one's total commitment to living a healthy life style. Personal fitness has to do with one working out in order to maintain their own standards.  If a person has a sense of wellness then of course they will be personal fit.  They will want to look good and looking good is a separate image in each person's eyes. As long as they have a fitness plan and is able to complete personal tasks then they have assets of both wellness and personal fitness.

What is a personal fitness program (PFP)?

A personal fitness program is a plan designed to help one select activities that will enable them to improve their lifestyle.
